After you apply

Interview dates

Interviews for NHS places are due between 17 March and 23 May 2025.

Download the interview dates for each course.

Please note:

  • the interview dates for the University of Southampton were amended in mid-September.
  • the interview dates for South Wales were amended in mid-October.

Interviews for self-funded places may be earlier or later.

If you have an interview clash

We co-ordinate interview weeks with the courses to avoid significant clashes where possible. However, if you are invited to two interviews on the same day please contact the courses concerned to discuss this.

If they are unable to help, please contact us for guidance.

Withdrawing from an interview or reserve list

If you wish to withdraw from an interview, or from an interview reserve list:

  • login to your application
  • choose Withdraw for the appropriate course(s)
  • click Confirm Action

Confirming will automatically inform the course(s) concerned.

Reserve lists for interviews

If your application is "Reserve for Interview" you are on a reserve list for that course. Reserve lists allow courses to fill interview slots when an invitation to interview is declined.

If an interview becomes available

If an interview slot becomes available for you, the course will contact you by email or by phone and give you further details. Your email software may treat emails from the courses as junk or spam, so please check your Junk/Spam Email folder(s) regularly.

The course will also update your application from "Reserve for Interview" to "Invited to Interview".

When will I hear if I've been offered a place?

By 30 May

The courses will let you know the results of any interviews for NHS places as soon as they are able and by 30 May 2025 at the latest.

They may do this by email, phone or post. Your email software may treat emails from the courses as junk or spam, so please check your Junk/Spam Email folder(s) regularly.

Also please give your full postal address on your application.

Interview results

The Clearing House does not make decisions about who is offered a place: this is done by the courses.

Interview results on your application

You will be able to see the status of your Application when you login. You should normally hear from the course directly first, as your application is only updated after we have checked the outcome with them.

If you have had an interview, your Application will change to one of the following:

  • Place Offered (see Next Page for details)
  • Reserve for Offer (see Next Page for details)
  • Unsuccessful at Interview
