Funding

We only offer self-funded places to candidates with overseas fees status. Home trainees must apply through the NHS funded route and be eligible for home fees status as well as have the Right to Work in the UK.

Funded / Home trainees:

Current NHS trainees, who apply through the funded route, are full-time employees of the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust and have annual leave and other benefits in line with usual NHS entitlements.  On entry to the Programme all current NHS trainees commence on the first spine point of Band 6 of the Agenda for Change pay scales. Eligible expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with NHS employer's terms and conditions of service.

Following the national and regional developments to support the psychological workforce, since 2021 we have received 49 commissioned trainees on the programme. We anticipate a similar number in subsequent years but typically do not receive confirmation of this until much later in the admissions cycle. We can only offer the number of funded places which are offered to us by NHSE.

International Trainees:

For 2025 we will consider a small number of self-funded international applicants who can secure financial support from external sources throughout the duration of training on the Programme. Self-funding must cover fees and costs in relation to living, accommodation and travel.
