University of Bath

We anticipate having 30 commissioned places available.  However, we often receive confirmation of the number of places late in the process.

We do not have any self-funded places.

Currently all trainees are full-time employees of the NHS through the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

• Current trainees are appointed on a fixed term contract for three years, at the bottom of  Band 6 of Agenda for Change pay scales and under Agenda for Change terms and conditions.
• Currently, course fees are paid by NHS England South West.
• Currently trainees can claim a portion of travel expenses to University and placements.  This is provided by Somerset Foundation Trust not the University.
• Occasionally overnight accommodation for trainees on placement can be funded.
• There is no funding to support accommodation costs to attend university.  It is expected you will live with a reasonable commuting distance of the university.

These conditions of service cover all programmes in the South-West region and some aspects are not applicable to the University of Bath programme.
