Professional accreditation
The Leeds Programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council.
APEL is not accepted.
Approach and theories
The Leeds Programme provides training in CBT (as all UK programmes do). We expect all trainees to develop skills in at least one other model. Opportunities are available in the following approaches: Systemic, ACT, CFT, CAT and Psychodynamic.
Placement locations
Our core placement area is West Yorkshire. Trainees are expected to live and travel within this area. It helps if trainees have their own transport, as the use of public transport can be difficult and time consuming. Health conditions and carer responsibilities are taken into account where possible when allocating placements.
